Thermostatic steam traps with corrosion-resistant membrane regulator

unaffected by waterhammer. Particularly suited for steam heating plants

and other low-pressure steam installations.The standard design features

a 5U2 capsule (undercooling) and discharges condensate at approx.

30 K (degC) below the saturated steam temperature.

Steam traps equipped with 5N2 capsules discharge condensate at

approx. 10 K (degC) below the saturated steam temperature.

The trap is supplied as a straight-through valve. It can be turned into an

angle valve by changing the position of the plug .



System Description

Function

Within its pressure/temperature range the steam trap opens irrespective

of the actual pressure a few degrees below boiling point and closes right

before the boiling point is reached.
