3 Pump Preparation

3.1 Check the condition of the bearing assembly and axial shaft

movement.

 3.1.1 Checkradialshaftmovementwithadialindicatorbyforcing

  theshaftupanddownandobservethemovementofthe 

dial indicator. Replace or repair bearing assembly if the

  movementisgreaterthanthemanufacturer'sspecications

or 0.381 mm (0.015 inch).

 3.1.2 Shaftrun-outshouldbelessthan0.127mm(0.005inch). 
